You’d never skip your yearly dental check. Your feet deserve the same routine care.
Most people see their dentist once a year without thinking twice. It’s simple prevention: catch small issues early, avoid bigger problems later. Your feet work even harder than your teeth, yet they’re often the last thing you check in on.
If you’re feeling niggles, aches, pressure, or changes when walking, that’s your body quietly telling you something isn’t quite right. A routine podiatry assessment can pick up early signs of corns, callus, nail changes, reduced sensation, gait issues and pressure points before they turn into pain.
You don’t need to wait for something to be “bad enough”. A yearly foot check keeps you comfortable, mobile and confident on your feet - especially if you’re active, on your feet all day, or noticing new discomfort.
Your feet carry you through everything. Looking after them once a year is the simplest way to keep moving well.
Call us on 01407 877277 to book your annual check.

Once the skin becomes irritated, it can swell and make the problem worse. The good news is that most cases can be prevented with simple changes -cutting nails straight across, avoiding narrow footwear and keeping the skin around the nail healthy.
If you’re dealing with persistent discomfort, professional treatment can relieve pain quickly and safely. Call us to arrange an appointment on 01407 877277.

New school shoes, new routines and a quick foot check can make all the difference. September is the time when small issues start to show: rubbing at the heel, tightness across the toes, changes in gait or complaints of “my feet feel tired”.
A simple check at home can help you spot early signs of discomfort. Look for redness, pressure marks, worn areas inside the shoe, or any changes in how your child walks.
If something doesn’t look quite right, a quick appointment can prevent problems developing as the term goes on.

Another busy day in clinic supporting a patient with a very painful elliptical corn that had begun to affect everyday walking. After a full assessment, Gill explained what had been happening within the foot, why the pressure had built, and how this type of corn develops and becomes increasingly uncomfortable.
To ease the immediate pain, a bespoke otoform spacer was moulded to sit comfortably between the toes and prevent further rubbing. This helps reduce irritation, improve alignment and make wearing shoes more manageable.
A course of Curacorn has been recommended to rebuild the natural cushioning that has reduced over time. This will be followed by full corn removal at the next appointment, giving the patient a clear treatment plan and a path back to comfortable movement.
If you’re experiencing similar symptoms or persistent pressure in your feet, please get in touch.
